The kids never paid any mind to it until they saw it in person. the kids ran to thier little cannoe, paddles as fast as they could and went back home. Jacob Hume had excused himself from the conversation. The piano across the room was the one place at the party no one was talking. Moving quickly as if he was headed to refill his drink or speak to someone, Jacob parted the crowd with a vague smile. Next to the Baby Grand, he became aware of the awkwardness of now standing alone in a corner and felt a quick relief when someone asked “do you play?” “No, Hi I’m Jake he said along with a handshake. “Jeff, “It is kinda strange that there isn’t any music” Jacob said nodding in the direction of the sterio. “What do you do Jeff?” I’m a psychiatrist, I have a practice just a few blocks from downtown. Mostly family counceling. Conflict resolution kind of stuff”. “really! do you do dreams” jacob asked “interpet I mean. Do you interpret dreams”? “No not really” said with an acceptable chuckle. “Having strange dreams”? “Ya, a weird one all the time”. It’s kind of like a dream a kid would have but it reocures three or four times a week. I read book of dreams by Freud. I didn’t think it was helpful at all, kind of more weird than my dream”. “Well he was also working on a cure for depression and developed a fondness for cocain at the time”. Tell me your dream, I’m almost sober. Maybe we can do better”. Jacob glanced over Jeff’s shoulder to ensure people wouldn’t hear and began. My parents had a lake house when I was a kid. In my dream I can see the water, it is still and quiet. My Fathers cano is lying on it side on the dock. When I was about twelve I took my Dad’s canoo out and damaged it, then I hid it and told my Dad it. My Dad asumed it was stolen and I never said anything about it. “Well ya, I think maybe you are have quilt feelings and may tension because you issue is unresolved. Would you consider admitting this to your Father?” “Ya I suppose I should, But another part of the dream is what is confusing me. Surrounding the lake are mountains and between two of them is a giant bananna split.” “Really”? Jeff said. “Ya, huge. Whip cream, a giant cherry. It’s different, thats for sure. I am seriously loosing sleep over this and now my work is starting to suffer because I’m wondering if something is wrong or that something is going to happen. Jacob looked at Jeff hoping for some to see an expression that indicated answer was texbook. Something wise yet clinical. Jeff seemed reluctant now to speak. Putting aside hesitation Jeff asked “ How is work, are co-workers adding any stress. Have you been working late?” “People at work are great in fact we have been taking off thirty minutes each day to work out at the gym. We have all been exercising and dieting heavily because of a Biggest Looser contest at work. The winner takes a $1000. pot.
Once upon a time in the little village called Mysterious a little boy name Pancho was shocked to find a piece of chocolate on the ground. He picked it up and with a big smile in his face he began to eat it. That day little Pancho was really happy that he was being generous to everyone in the village. His parents were shocked to see Pancho like this since his always being a rebel to everyone. That day Pancho went to sleep really happy. Then the next day when Pancho open his eyes, he rushes out the door to find another piece of chocolate, but he was disappointed no chocolate was there. He went back to his house with tears falling down his face. Mother asks my little Pancho what s wrong with you yesterday you were really happy and look at you today. Pancho did not answer and left to his room. Suddenly Pancho hears a nock in his window, he couldn’t believe it. His Dead grandfather had come visit him. Pancho was shocked and could not even speak. His grandfather said Pancho mijo do not fear me I just come to help. Pancho nodded his head with fear. Grandfather said Pancho if you promise me to never be a rebel again and you will help the Village expand then I will give you the biggest ice-cream sundae you have never seen. Pancho face had a smile from cheek to cheek. Grandpa, Pancho said and when will I get my ice cream? Grandpa responded as soon as know you have done what I told you. A week passes by and Pancho was working harder than ever, he would help his mother clean the house. Then goes to the Village council and gives them ideas of how Mysterious can expand and be recognizing around the world. Finally years pass by and Mysterious had expanded into a city and Pancho was the Major of Mysterious. When suddenly Panchos Grandpa appears again and says “ Pancho you have done what you promise, am so proud of you; you will get your regard tomorrow in the morning.” Pancho could not wait. The next morning Pancho looks around the Village now a City and was not able to find what his grandfather had promise him. With a big deception Pancho walks back home when a Voice from the sky exclaims Pancho go to forest. Pancho runs to the forest and when he gets there he was shocked. His Ice cream sundae was the size of a mountain. With no time to waist Pancho got in his boat and made it to the mountain. When he got there he started to eat like a pig. When suddenly many people appeared and were astonished to find their major eating ice cream all by himself. When suddenly Pancho scream COME JOIN ME ON THIS WONDERFUL DAY AND LET’S HAVE AN ICREAM SUNDAE PARTY. That they was never forgotten and the Village of Mysterious now a city lived happily ever after. The End.
Once upon a time, a group of friends were canoing traveling the world. These friends would travel the world as a hobbie, always looking for new places to canoe. They had found a new place in the north coast of South America that seemed great to canoe because of the slow currents making it safe and the wild life was not dangerous and it was amazing. While they were traveling in this river canoing the were seeing the wild animals jump around from trees to trees and also would here many different birds. They were so happy about what they were seeing that they continued going until they reached to a magnificent point. This point was the end of the river covered by mountains and the middle mountain was a vanilla covered with chocolate fudge and whipped cream with a cherry on top. The group loved it so much because it represented the calm and peaceful place of this surroundings. It was so calm, peacefull, and loving that they continued to come to this place every year for the rest of their lifes.
One morning, the kids who lived close to the mountains decided to go up there to swim in the lake. There is when the have to pass a forest that no one has seen or heard before. As the go though it, they see a sign that says "Welcome to Lake Ice Cream". As the pass the sign, they see the lake, but they also see a giant banana split at the mountain sight. So they rent a boat to go see it and it was every child's dream come true. The mountain was called Mount Sugary, were it everything that is sugar: candy, marshmallows, ice cream, cookies, you name it the mountain itself has it all. The kids were so happy the will never go home until they have much sugar in their stomachs. Yet, this is not a real thing, that is when the kids released it was all a dream. As they wake up, the immediately rush to the lake without getting a change to eat breakfast; they see the mountain from the high top next to their house, but this time it was just a regular mountain. The kids were sad and all they can do now is just wish there was a real mountain that was a bannana split.
Naturally born fraternal twins, Gumdrop and Jellybean are two of the world's greatest ice cream mountain surfers. The thing that makes these guys so great at their sport is not going down the mountain with a surf board, but standing in a canoe.
Training for the big competition coming up on Mt. More Fudgier Then You Think, is nearly impossible. Many have attempted surfing down this beast but none have actually acomplished riding to the bottom.
With this daring competition set on the date of February 33rd 2322, Gumdrop and Jellybean were in a state of panic. Realizing the competition was just days away, they began their training with rather large egos. Confident in their skills, Gumdrop and Jellybean decided to "check out" the competition they had to face. Wasting one whole day they scouted out all of the other eight compeditors. Both coming to the conclusion that Sourpatch was going to be the biggest threat, they planned on taking him out of the race.
A couple hours before the start of the race, each contestant was able to glance at the mountain one time before being blind folded and carried to the top. Paired up into twos, five ski lifts make way to the top of Mt. More Fudgier Then You Think. On the way up Gumdrop and Jellybean just happen to be on the same lift, both with the mental image of the mountain. Both men knowing of what they needed to do everyone began to approach the starting line. In a perfect horizontal line each contestant receives a canoe of different color to make it easier to pick out each racer.
The ref drives in the middle of the racers on a snowmobile. Looking left at five racers, and looking on his right at Gumdrop, Jellybean, Sourpatch, and the other two racers, the ref slowly lefts his arm holding a gun to start the race. Each racer with only ten seconds to strap themselves to their canoes, hear a loud BANG from the gun meaning the race has started. Each racer at this time, now in frantic mode begin down the mountain.
Gumdrop and Jellybean realize that everyone else is not properly strapped into their canoes. So taking a dangerous chance neither of them have strapped themselves down and take the lead as quick as they could. Half way down the fudge Gumdrop is way in the lead, approaching the thick seemingly frozen vanilla ice cream. Going way too fast Gumdrop slams into a creamy mush pit and is thrown deep under the thickness of the mountain. All the other races paid no attention and followed Gumdrop down into the depths of Mt. More Fudgier Then You Think. None of then were ever found again, and as for the mountain... It melted!!
Once upon a time there was this kid that heard of a mountain from his grandfather, a mountain so cold that you have to waer two layers of jackets and it has two coloers brown and white with a rounded red top. "granpa! what kind of mountain is this?!" the kid excitedly asked his grandfather. the grandfather replied firing his grand son's excitment "it is a surprise sun, but i'll give you a hint, it tastes realy good". his son asked " IT TASTES GOOD?!, granpa please tell me where is this thing?". "it's to the north of here, but you have to cross the river to get to it" granpa answerd his excited son. The kid didn't waste any time and ran to build somthing to cross the river. after two days, he was done from what apears to be just planks tied together by a rope and screwes. The kid took with him some heavy clothes as his granpa told him, and sailed to reach what appears the most interesting thing he has ever heard of. After miles and miles of sailing he started to see the mountains getting closer and closer, until finaly he opened his eyes as wide as they can reach and started talking to himself:" a very cold mountain in brown and white with a rounded red top, and taste good, ofcource it makes sense, IT IS AN ICE CREAM MOUNTAIN!".
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Not only he created the heavens and the earth, he created this mountain called Mount Creamy Creme. Along side Mount Creamy Creme was a little town called Chocolate City and it was home to all the little chocolate people of the world. Well in this abstract city, there lived a young man named Chocolate Thunder and his destiny was to climb Mount Creamy Creme and take a bite of the cherry that sat on top of the mountain. Chocolate Thunder was always terrified of this mountain because so many people died trying to climb it and get to that cherry. Well one day he worked up enough courage to climb the mountain and do what he was destined to do. Chocolate Thunder got prepared and set out for his destiny and started climbing the mountain. He got half way to the top and realized he didnt have on his slip free shoes. Chocolate slid all the way down the mountain to his death. He died a slippery death. THE END
This story accrued once upon a time, while I was sleeping, and it goes a little something like this. I woke up in a mysterious place and I have absolutely no idea were I am and I took a look around. Im surrounded by huge pine trees which are actually made out of chocolate and minty tasting leafs. Which is completely weird but Im not scared at all I mean there's no sound of birds no noisy little insects and the temperature is kind of cold. And at this point I start walking away from my bed, and I bump into a pier which leads to something red and from the distance looks like canoe and as I get closer I see that there is a canoe but the biggest surprise is that to my left, is a gigantic ice cream mountain! Which would explain why it was so cold but any ways it seems that the fastest way to get over there would be to use a canoe to get over there so I hop on and to my surprise it's made out of what seems to be a very large jelly rancher canoe. It was totally awesome! So as I'm heading toward the gigantic ice cream I started to lick the canoe and as I approached my destination it started to get colder and colder and I wanted one more lick but just then my tongue got stuck to the canoe and the weather being to get super cold! It didn't help at all and it was a little painful but I had to keep on moving on now only a few feet away from the large ice cream mountain I couldn't stop now my tongue was hurting a little and the weather being a little cold but it was totally worth it. Finally, I reach the big chocolaty drips of chocolate that are coming down but as soon as I'm going to take a big bite I hear a familiar sound but cant really make out what it is and I go back to taking that big bite. When I remember what that sound is and just then I awake in the same place I went to sleep in and I say to my Self why!!!
hahahaha i just got done reading mondo's story.... funny stuff man.. Too bad chocolate thunder failed like everyone else, but then again i doubt a cherry that big can be eaten.. anyway it cracked me up!
In a little mountain town there was a really needy family who just had enough money to eat but would always crave dessert. The family would always work really hard, but for some reason something would always come up and they never manged to have money for dessert. The youngest child of the family of five went out to the lake in his canoe and he would just think about a delicious juicy vanilla sundae. While he was riding along the lake in the canoe a random genie appeared above him. The genie told him you have one wish i'll grant you. The little boy was appalled and automatically said, i want the big mountains near my town to be a giant vanilla sundae with hot fudge, whip cream, and a cherry! As the little boy woke up the next day he ran outside to over see the mountains, and there was the delicious juicy sundae. -Lupe Perez
Victor Vanderbuilt is extraordinarily wealthy. He is about 4'11" at this exact moment and has green eyes and dark hair. His light complexion is exquisite and he's an only child. His mother died in a plane accident when he was about five years of age. He is now nine years of age.
Victor Vanderbuilt: Father, can you ple-e-e-e-ase come play with me outside? We can do anything you want to! ANY-Y-YTHING! I don't care if it's playing catch or...or hide-n-seek...or--
Mr. Vanderbuilt: Vic. Really? Don't you see that I'm not in the mood nor do I have the time right now? Please, go bug Mary-Ann. Where is that nanny anyway?
Mr. Vanderbuilt sighs. Victor looks down at the floor, easily defeated. He feels lonely and considers searching for his nanny. He walks to the kitchen, without really giving any thought to it and finds a note on the kitchen counter, saying "Went to the grocery store. Be back in an hour." He carelessly tosses the note into the trash, as he drags his feet to the formal livingroom. Victor sits down in a Victorian chair with a layer of dust on it. He begins to contemplate on what to do next. Before he knows it, he finds himself outside, looking towards the mountains. He closes his eyes, breathing lightly and steadily. He feels stomach pangs that startle him and he opens his eyes. To his amazement, there's a GIGANTIC hot chocolate fudge banana split with this amazingly vivid red cherry on top.
To be continued... (I have to go to work now, which is ironically at an ice cream parlor.)
Why are you turning violet, Violet? Perhaps if we had a gum for every meal!OOMPA DOOMPA OOMPIDEEDO. The snasberries taste like snasberries. If only it were true!
We drove for 12 hours. The car ride included my mother Diane, little brother Jordan, and big sister, Adrienne. The four of us were headed to Washington, Ca. where my aunt Valerie lives in the mountains. We were following the mountain line where we reached the gravel road where she said it would be. “If we follow this down, we should be fine,” my mother said. “The sign should read ‘Sundae Surprise’ I think,” Jordan stated. “I wonder if that has to do with the surprise she was talking about?” Before we left, Aunt Val told us there were some changes in her area that she was excited to show us, but wanted to wait to tell us. She always has something up her sleeve. Aunt Val isn’t the normal aunt one would have. She’s a sculpture artist.
“Give her a call and let her know we are close,” my mother ordered. We saw the sign, and drove up the hill. Finally, we saw the kooky cottage she lives in. Her hillside yard is filled with wild sculptures she’s obtained throughout her life. It’s a good thing her nearest neighbor lives a mile up the road. We came to a much-needed stop and jump out. “HI! How are you?” she calls from the front step. We all collide into her little arms, hugs and kisses all around. We forget we ever brought the luggage and go inside.
After catching up on current events, I started to get antsy about this surprise she was having us wait on. “What is this surprise you were talking about?” “Yeah, we didn’t see anything out of the ordinary on the way. Just a bunch of trees and rocks,” Jordan added. “Well, kids, you know that I’m always working and doing business deals, which is why I haven’t seen you as much as I’d like. Recently I have made a deal with Blu Bell. This company is famous in Texas for their unbelievable ice cream. And, well, without further ado…”
She pulled back the curtains, and throws open the double glass door. We are blinded for a moment before feasting our eyes on the most magnificent creation ever made by any artist to this day! Our Sundae surprise was in fact a sundae, a mountain sized sundae. Aunt Val has created many strange, outstanding installation pieces, but this one topped them all!
Once upom time there was a man having a dream. He goes into a very deep deep sleep and wonders off. He had been very hungry before he had had a nap because he was cutting weight for a wrestling tournament. In his dream he saw a light and he followed it. To his suprise he came to a very large and and white place. He hhad thought he was day dreaming but as he got closer he saw a village made out of a bananna split. He quickly ran over to the villae and ate all the ice cream before he went to eat the cherry he had heard a loud beeoing noise. To his suprise it was his alarm waking him up to cut some more weight.
Lenny is his name. Lenny is that of a geeky 11 year old, who sadly has a lactose intolerant deficiency. He thought he was just like every other kid his age until one year he wasn't able to eat the yummy foods he once did. Anything with dairy is out the window.
On a starry night, Lenny sat gazing out his window. The night sky was filled with endless amount of stars, planets, and other solar systems. He was big into Astronomy of course. He also believed in fantasy. So, while gazing at what he would consider a masterpiece, a work of art, Lenny asked the gods for just one wish.
Lenny desperately wanted to be like his friends. He wanted to join in the fun whether it be at a birthday party or a skating party. There was always the one thing he could not participate in, eating deliciously yummy ice cream. One day the gods from the mystically night sky came to him. They said for one day you may have whatever you wish. Lenny, of course wished to be lactose free for one day. With his wish he started to day dream. "For my wish, I wish to have my next birthday party at a lake where all my friends could canoe around the lake. The river would be our journey to the endless mountain of awesome goodness, Mt. Banana Split. There will be rolling hills of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream! A boulder size cherry will be resting on top of layers upon layers of hot fudge and marshmallow topping, with an abundance of gregariously giant spoons sticking out from the mountain of deliciousness.
Yum! He thought to himself as his wish came true on his next birthday. Lenny was content. He was again a happy, little boy. For one day he felt "normal" as he thought to himself, "I can feel like a normal kid again."
As the writer, I'm thinking to myself that ice cream sounds absolutely amazing. I too am lactose intolerant. Sadly, not all the wishes in the world can save me a day full of lactose freedom. I, however, will suffer the consequences and enjoy a yummy, warm waffle bowl of Cookie Dough You Want Some from ColdStone Creamery. :)
@Mondo: That was an awesome story you wrote there. I couldn't stop laughing and I enjoyed it so much that I read it a few more times.
@Neil: I love love love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! I like how you made references to certain scenes. I now want to go watch that movie and eat yummy amounts of ice cream!

ReplyDeleteIn the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. THE END
ReplyDeleteThis story accrued once upon a time, while I was sleeping, and it goes a little something like this.
ReplyDeletehahahaha i just got done reading mondo's story.... funny stuff man.. Too bad chocolate thunder failed like everyone else, but then again i doubt a cherry that big can be eaten.. anyway it cracked me up!
ReplyDeletei really liked Mondo's story it was really funny.
ReplyDeleteIn a little mountain town there was a really needy family who just had enough money to eat but would always crave dessert.

Victor Vanderbuilt is extraordinarily wealthy. He is about 4'11" at this exact moment and has green eyes and dark hair. His light complexion is exquisite and he's an only child. His mother died in a plane accident when he was about five years of age. He is now nine years of age.
ReplyDeleteVictor Vanderbuilt: Father, can you ple-e-e-e-ase come play with me outside?
(I have to go to work now, which is ironically at an ice cream parlor.)
these stories are too much! You people are really good creative writers. We should harness all that creativity!
ReplyDeleteREALLY GOOD STORIES, EVERYONE!
I'd love a sundae right now but I'm afraid the polar ice caps are melting! Global warning means less banana splits!

ReplyDeleteWe drove for 12 hours.
ReplyDelete“Give her a call and let her know we are close,” my mother ordered.
ReplyDelete@ stephanie good story!

ReplyDeleteLenny is his name. Lenny is that of a geeky 11 year old, who sadly has a lactose intolerant deficiency. He thought he was just like every other kid his age until one year he wasn't able to eat the yummy foods he once did. Anything with dairy is out the window.
ReplyDeleteOn a starry night, Lenny sat gazing out his window.
ReplyDelete@Neil: I love love love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! I like how you made references to certain scenes. I now want to go watch that movie and eat yummy amounts of ice cream!
